Valmeyer hosts a wide variety of community events each year.
The residents of Valmeyer and surrounding communities look forward to Valmeyer’s annual Midsummer Celebration baseball tournament, parade, and fireworks. St. John’s UCC and St Mary’s Catholic Church also host a picnic together every year.
Valmeyer is also home to the Salt Lick Preserve, which is a large blufftop park area with scenic walking trails. We also have the Rock City Underground Business Park, which is home to a large refrigerated freezer and the National Archives Record Storage Facility.
To meet the residential needs of our village we have Bluff Meadows, a growing area offering lots of various sizes.
The village is committed to providing quality services. The mayor and trustees work cooperatively with the school district, local organizations, churches, and residents to set goals and ensure the best service possible is being delivered to our citizens.
Proven by the flooding in 1993, the people of Valmeyer, our business community, and village government are great examples of what can be accomplished with perseverance and a cooperative spirit.
